TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HEALTHCARE TOURISM SERVICES
This Terms and Conditions for Healthcare Tourism Services (“Agreement”) outlines the terms and conditions governing the provision of healthcare tourism services by Arpanu to individuals seeking medical treatment through healthcare providers in Turkey. By engaging Arpanu’s services, the patient (“Patient”) acknowledges and agrees to comply with the following terms:

- Definitions:
Arpanu, an international health tourism intermediary organization located in Turkey, a member of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies, with a license number issued by the relevant authorities, and accredited by the Ministry of Health of Turkey. Healthcare Provider: Refers to the hospital, private clinic, surgeon, or any other medical professional engaged in providing consultation, examination, medical procedures, and aftercare.Treatment Package: A comprehensive package that may include medical treatment, accommodation, internal transfers, and supporting services, tailored to the Patient’s preferences. Treatment: The medical procedure to be performed by the chosen Healthcare Provider.

- Our Liabilities & Responsibilities:
Arpanu solely acts as an intermediary and does not control healthcare service facilities or the other service providers. The Patient agrees not to hold Arpanu responsible for any malpractice, complications or dissatisfaction caused by the Healthcare Provider. Arpanu is not responsible for services of the service providers, such as accommodation facilities, airline companies, transportation providers, etc. Arpanu is solely responsible for arranging these services as an intermediary. The forms at the treatment center constitute a contractual relationship between you and the Healthcare Provider. We shall not take any responsibility or liability for the complications and dissatisfactions arising from the Healthcare Provider’s treatments. We strongly recommend that you read the Healthcare Provider’s terms and conditions and consent forms carefully prior to proceeding with your treatments.

- Your Responsibilities:
Information Sharing: The Patient agrees to share all relevant information and providing necessary documents about his/her personal data and medical condition. By accepting these terms and conditions you give permission to Arpanu to get your medical records from your healthcare provider and keep that records in case of necessity. Travel Documents: The Patient is responsible for preparing travel documents such as a passport and visa related to the treatment. Deposit and Payments: A deposit is required before treatment, and full payment must be completed before the commencement of treatment. Insurance: It is the Patient’s responsibility to add any desired insurance to their medical package. Physical Examination Impact: The Patient acknowledges that the medical package is initially determined based on pictures and test results. Changes may occur during a physical examination with the Healthcare Provider. Additional Charges: While the treatment package covers pre-op tests, additional charges may apply for extra tests necessitated by pre-existing conditions or susceptibility to any condition. Accommodation Charges: In case the Patient stays more nights than specified in the treatment package, additional nights will be charged at the current rates of the hospital or hotel. Transportation Charges: In case of a change for your flights and transportation you shall be charged by the respective service provider according to this alteration.

- Cancellation:
In case of the treatment plan changes due to a physical examination or test results you can choose to not proceed. In that case a refund will be issued after deducting costs related to medical tests, consultations, accommodation, transportation and bank fees from your total package amount. In case you want to proceed with the new treatment plan, then you will receive a revised price quotation. In case of change in treatment plan, the duration of stay may also change. Arpanu takes no responsibility for this and cannot be held liable for the lack of arrangement or organization of the extra days stayed or the additional cost of the extra stay. Please be aware that Arpanu is not responsible for refunding your accommodation, travel, and transfer costs as those arrangements are not made by Arpanu but by or through other third-party providers under any circumstances. The deposit is non-refundable. In force majeure conditions, the validity is extended for an additional 6 months or until the Patient’s medical availability. In case you reschedule for a date longer than 6 months, the fee of the medical treatment may change and you may pay the difference due to this alteration.

- Medical Examination:
The Patient acknowledges the inherent risks associated with surgery/treatment and agrees that realistic expectations must be established in consultation with the surgeon/professional.

- Aftercare:
The Patient must follow after-care instructions. If complications arise post-treatment in the home country, Arpanu will assist in communication with the surgeon/professional. In case of an indication of a complication after you have returned to your country, we will assist you by asking your pictures, test results, any doctor report that you received in your home country and we will deliver them to your surgeon to follow-up your case, provide an opinion and determine possible next steps for post-operative treatment. If you require a revision or corrective treatment and if your surgeon confirms and accepts that you require revision or corrective surgery, the surgeon will underwrite the cost of the treatment. You will only have to bear the cost of hospital (excluding the surgeon), travel, accommodation, transfers and sustenance in that case. The clinic/hospital will give you aftercare instructions and advice. In case you do not follow these instructions and repercussions would arise because of the lack of care, the hospital and surgeon can not be held responsible. Kindly note that you shall not be refunded by healthcare facility, surgeon, or Arpanu under any circumstances.

- Feedbacks and Reviews:
Arpanu seeks sincere, genuine, and helpful feedback from patients to enhance its services.

- Confidentiality and Data Protection:
Patient’s personal data shall be maintained in compliance with laws and regulations. Anonymous before and after pictures may be used for demonstrative purposes with the Patient’s consent. Patient acknowledges and undertakes that he/she has been informed about data protection policy of the Arpanu and granted his/her permission for data procession.

- Jurisdiction:
In case of disputes, the Parties accept the authority of the Courts of Istanbul. By accepting these terms, the Patient affirms their understanding and agreement to abide by the obligations outlined herein.
